Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe

Client: Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park
Location: Greensboro, NC
Services: Asphalt Patching, Sealcoating, Parking Lot Re-Striping
Scope: 4–5 acre commercial parking lot, hundreds of parking spaces
Timeline: 2.5–3 weeks total

The Challenge

Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe, a landmark water park known to anyone who grew up in the Piedmont Triad, needed their parking lot restored before opening day for the new season. The asphalt had cracked significantly over the years and the striping had faded, leaving guests without clear direction from the entrance to the ticket booth.

The catch: the park was opening that Saturday.

Lambeth Asphalt had been assessing the property since the previous fall, evaluating options ranging from milling and paving to sealcoating and striping. Given the condition of the asphalt and the timeline, the recommendation was clear, sealcoat and re-stripe to extend the lot's life by 4 to 5 years, with targeted patching to address the worst problem areas first.

The Approach

Lambeth Asphalt completed the asphalt patching weeks before the sealcoating began, ensuring the new sealer would bond properly to the repaired surfaces. Once patching was finished, the crew moved into the full sealcoating and re-striping operation.

Because Wet N Wild's staff was simultaneously preparing for the season, pouring concrete, installing equipment, stocking concessions, Lambeth Asphalt's team had to work alongside park management in real time. To keep both operations moving without conflict, the team phased the project using detailed site maps, giving management a clear picture of which areas were active and which remained accessible at all times.

Weather added another variable. A stretch of rain mid-project forced the crew to pause sealcoating and wait for surfaces to fully dry before resuming. The team adapted without losing ground.

The Result

The re-striping went beyond simply repainting faded lines. Lambeth Asphalt redesigned the traffic flow patterns, improving parking arrows, adjusting space layouts to add capacity, and converting the former bus parking area to standard car parking. The result is a lot that moves guests more efficiently from the roadway entrance to the ticket booth with less congestion.

The project was completed in time for opening day.

"I couldn't be more proud of the team. They were working different days, crazy hours, just to accommodate the property.

They've shown out on this one." — Jordan Lambeth, Founder

Why It Matters

A parking lot is the first impression every guest has of a commercial property. For a water park serving thousands of visitors per season, a functional, clearly marked, well-maintained lot isn't optional, it's operational.
