Client: Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church
Location: 4933 NC-770, Stoneville, NC 27048
Services: Milling, Grading, Asphalt Paving, Parking Lot Striping, Sealcoating
Scope: Front lot — full mill, grade, and pave; back lot — sealcoating to extend life within budget
Timeline: 5-day project; completed September 18, 2026
The front parking lot at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church had deteriorated beyond the point where sealcoating or patching could extend its life. A full mill and replace was the only sound option. The back lot, while worn, had enough structural life remaining — sealcoating it in the same mobilization kept the church's overall cost down without leaving the property half-finished. During milling, the crew discovered a severe pump spot in one corner of the front lot — an area where the subgrade had failed and was pushing liquid up through the surface under load. Left unaddressed, the same failure would have returned through the new asphalt within a season.
Lambeth Asphalt ran the project across five days: milling on Monday, grading and wet-setting stone on Tuesday, and paving Wednesday through Friday. The pump spot required the crew to excavate subgrade material, lay fabric, reset stone, and pack 4–5 inches of asphalt into the repaired area — letting it cure overnight before the surface course went over it. The crew ran shorthanded all week with several members out, meaning the grand man was covering both sides of the paver and everyone on site was shoveling between passes. The back lot received a full sealcoat application during the same mobilization, preserving what life remained in that surface at a fraction of the cost of replacement. Striping completed the front lot on the final day.
Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church came away with a fully rebuilt front parking lot — subgrade failure corrected, new surface from curb to curb, and fresh striping throughout — and a sealcoated back lot ready to serve the congregation for years to come. Completed September 18, 2026.
"This was my first project running all three phases — mill, grade, and pave — start to finish. We hit a bad pump spot in the corner, dug it out, laid fabric, and built it back up right. We were shorthanded all week, but I can't wait to see it striped. It always looks beautiful when those white lines hit." — Luke, Foreman
This project was also a milestone for Lambeth Asphalt internally. Luke Hazelwood — who joined straight out of high school — ran the full scope of this job on his own for the first time: overseeing milling, grading, and paving from day one through completion. The ability to develop foremen who can take a project from start to finish without hand-holding is what allows Lambeth to run multiple jobs at once without quality slipping. Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church got a rebuilt lot. The crew got a foreman.
